If I had the chance to come to London to pursue my art I would do large-scale abstract works using mixed techniques in charcoal, plaster chalk and bitumen juxtaposed with colour.

In my pieces I will evoke the atmosphere and images of the city. I have done similar work before and I love the mix of dust (charcoal or coloured plaster) with crosshatchings of colour. The resulting works, despite their technical complexity, are recognisably cityscapes.

This would be my starting point but in London I would explore colour and atmosphere more while still concentrating on urban landscapes and using innovative materials. I might also use photography and other appropriate methods to develop the images. I could possibly do a project with one artwork per area of London.
