I would like to come back to London to take part in the art residency to complete two very different works linked by a common thread: London.

The first project will consist of a series of site-specific street collages.

Street collage is one of my favourite forms of artistic expression because it allows me to play and interact with the surrounding urban fabric in a respectful way, without changing it.

In my street collages I try to create a strong sense of contrast by the juxtaposition of a delicate image of a bulb in flower or a wistful fawn with the roughness of a cement wall.

From this union of urban wall and collage I try to collect and convey emotions by creating compositions which play with the found urban environment.

Obviously, every city has its own character, but ,without a shadow of a doubt, London is one of the most amazing - and my favourite. Its typical redbrick walls, tiled subways and distinctive colour palette add to its creative atmosphere.

The second project is a limited series of works on canvas or found materials: cardboard, metal parts, sheet metal, wood etc – it will very much depend on what London offers up.

The challenge will be to invest these works with the energy and emotion taken from my street collages and to incorporate the creative impetus of one of the most dynamic cities in the world.
