On 31st of October, at the Estorick Collection of Modern Italian Art, and on 2nd of November in a private flat in Chelsea, Art Apartments presented the works by the artist Federico Seppi, winner of our Art Residency London is Open 2019.
Federico Seppi’s project consisted of creating a garden composed by flowered grass originally from different European countries representing the resiliency of the multicultural material. The second part of the project was an art work consisting of tears flying over the garden and intertwined branches of imported plants.
For the third year, the theme of Art Apartments’ residency is London is Open, inspired by London Mayor Sadiq Khan’s campaign to keep London open to the rest of the world. This remains particularly significant with the UK still in negotiations with the EU before Brexit.
